Meet our Doctors
Each physician has undergone many years of surgical training and is capable of treating the full array of urological disorders. We are committed to provide our patients with the state of the art urological care including minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery. We are associated with Crozer, Taylor, Riddle, and Springfield hospitals, as well as Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. We also have privileges at Bryn Mawr and Lankenau hospitals.
- Frank L. D’Elia, M.D.,
FACS
Dr D'Elia is a fellowship-trained specialist in the diagnosis and treatment
of Urologic Cancers and limits his new patient practice to that. Locally,
he is chief of the division of Urology, and also chief of the division
of Urologic Oncology at Crozer -Chester Medical Center. Regionally, he is an assistant clinical
professor of Urology at Thomas Jefferson University
where he teaches cancer surgery.
Nationally, Dr D'Elia has moderated the Urologic Cancer section of national
meetings, and has published several articles on the diagnosis and treatment
of cancer. He is
fully trained and credentialed in robotic surgery.
Dr. D'Elia has been chosen multiple years by Main Line Today as top doc in cancer surgery.
- Stephen R. Walker, M.D.,
FACS
Dr. Walker shows care and compassion to his patients, and is concerned that his patients are well informed and are active participants in their care. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Urology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Walker has been chosen as as top doc by Main Line Today in urological surgery.
- Robert J. Gary, M.D.
Dr. Gary provides a full range of urologic care, including treatment for prostate cancer, bladder and kidney cancer, and has developed a special interest in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. He
uses
the newest diagnostic techniques and treatment available for patients with erectile dysfunction.
- Ilya A. Volfson,
M.D.
Dr. Volfson joined Associates in Urology in 2006, and is one
of the few urologists in the Philadelphia area who is fellowship
trained in minimally invasive
Robotic “band aid surgery” of the prostate, kidney,
ureter, and adrenal gland. Dr. Volfson is the author
of text book chapters on robotic surgery. He has also published and presented
scientific papers on robotic and laparoscopic surgery at various national and
international symposiums. Dr. Volfson has been chosen as as top doc by Main Line Today in urological surgery.

Carlo G. Nicolis M.D
Dr. Nicolis provides a full range of urologic care, including treatment for prostate cancer, bladder and kidney cancer, and has developed a special interest in the treatment of stone disease. He uses the newest diagnostic techniques and treatment available for patients with kidney, ureteral, or bladder calculi (stones).

Dana joined the Associates in Urology in November of 2005. She enjoys caring for patients with all types of urologic conditions with a special interest in erectile dysfunction, kidney stones, recurrent urinary tract infections and urinary incontinence.
