William D. Ziegenfus
Dr. Ziegenfus graduated from Amherst College in 1957 and Jefferson Medical College in 1961. He interned at Presbyterian Hospital and Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, finishing in 1962. He did General Medicine and Minor Surgery in the US Navy, Sasebo, Japan. He completed a Urology Residency at Jefferson in 1968 and then did a Fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Colombia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City, through 1969.
He started a General Urology and Pediatric Urologic Practice in 1969. From 1973 to 1990, he did Pediatric Urology at Alfred I. Dupont Hospital, Wilmington, DE. He also practiced some General Urology at Riddle Memorial Hospital and Crozer Chester Medical Center, for mostly benign disease.
He has performed over 4000 prostate operations and over 500 mg female incontinence procedures.
He recently has focused on minimally invasive outpatient procedures, especially for benign prostatic disease.
